Job Summary
Resource Teacher provides direct special education services in resource, small-group, and inclusion settings for grades 5-8; serves as case manager for assigned students; ensures compliance with IDEA and state/federal requirements; collaborates with general education teachers, families, and administrators; delivers evidence-based interventions aligned to IEP goals; monitors progress, maintains accurate records, develops and monitors IEPs, and participates in SST/MTSS meetings; requires strong communication, data-management, and technology proficiency; serves as primary point of contact for families and supports inclusive, equitable learning environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Georgia Professional Teaching Certificate
- Certification in Special Education General Curriculum (P–12) Consultative OR Special Education Adapted Curriculum (P–12) Consultative
- Georgia Dyslexia Endorsement (FLD872) required
