Job Summary
Conduct group exercise classes adhering to YMCA guidelines while securing sub coverage, ensuring punctuality, and taking attendance. Greet participants, learn their names, and adapt classes based on identified limitations. Utilize Upace Group Ex technology for tracking and communication, check emails timely, and safely operate all equipment. Promote a healthy lifestyle and attend advanced training workshops or special events. Ensure compliance with all policies and standard operating procedures. Maintain an enthusiastic, positive role model attitude throughout interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- At least 1 year of participation in group exercise class(es)
- Possess and maintains at least one current Group Exercise certificate of completion or specialty certificate from a reputable organization for each specialized group modality
- Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire
- Ability to plan, lead, and participate in classes and activities
- Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position, including leading class, walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting
