Job Summary
The Certified Scrub Tech PRN provides essential support in the operating room including preparing for surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and assisting the surgical team. Key responsibilities include anticipating the needs of the team, managing surgical instruments and specimens, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Required qualifications include a high school diploma, completion of an accredited surgical technologist program, CST certification, and at least one year of experience in a related setting. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program
- Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
- Minimum of one year of experience as a scrub technician in an ambulatory surgery center or hospital setting
- Demonstrated proficiency in surgical instrumentation, sterile techniques, and surgical procedures
Additional Requirements
- Experience with a variety of surgical specialties preferred
