Job Summary
Certified Scrub Tech in the Main Operating Room prepares the OR, maintains a sterile field, and assists the surgeon by handling instruments and supplies. Responsibilities include setting up sterile trays, assisting with patient preparation and positioning, draping, anticipating surgical needs, handing instruments, coordinating specimen handling and transport to the lab, performing surgical counts, restocking supplies, and ensuring smooth workflow with surgeons, nurses, and other staff. Requires CST certification, CPR within 90 days, and demonstrated sterile technique; standing/walking up to 90% and lifting up to 50 lbs. Located in Fayetteville, AR.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited scrub technological program
- CST certification is required
- CPR certification required within 90 days
- Experience with sterile technique and preparing/arranging instruments and supplies to facilitate surgical procedures
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs in an operating room environment
- Knowledge of maintaining sterile field and counting sponges, needles, and instruments before/during/after surgery
