Job Summary
Provide comprehensive nursing care, assessment, and emergency response while administering medications and conducting health screenings. Develop individualized healthcare plans, maintain accurate student health records, and coordinate care with families and healthcare providers. Support students with acute, chronic, and complex medical needs, monitor immunization compliance, and provide staff training on student health needs. Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant health office while collaborating with school leaders to support student wellness. Requires an active New Jersey RN license and Certified School Nurse certification.
Required Qualifications
- Active New Jersey Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Active New Jersey Department of Education Certified School Nurse (CSN) certification
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Knowledge of school nursing practices and student health services
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive student health information
- Ability to respond effectively to medical emergencies and manage competing priorities
- Successful completion of required background checks and employment requirements
