Job Summary
Deliver care to residents based on individualized care plans, providing cognitive, social, and emotional support while performing nursing procedures and adhering to infection control protocols. Participate in the Verve Quality Improvement program, complete mandatory training, and assist in delivering Life Enrichment activities. Perform nursing documentation, monitor intervention outcomes, and comply with Occupational Health and Safety legislation by recognizing hazards and participating in drills. Report incidents and fulfill responsibilities under applicable laws as delegated by the Health and Wellness Manager or Unregulated Care Provider.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate from an approved Health Care Aide or Personal Support Worker program
- Minimum of grade 12
- Written and verbal fluency in English
- Resident-oriented individual whose visions and values align with those of Diversicare
- All offers of employment are subject to a Criminal Background Check
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in long-term care or retirement residence
