Job Summary
Certified Respiratory Therapist PRN responsible for providing respiratory care and related services. Applies knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and emergency procedures to deliver safe and effective patient respiratory care across age groups; communicates with physicians, nursing, and allied health staff; teaches and assesses others; recognizes and reports abuse; demonstrates knowledge of pulmonary function values; performs setup, maintenance, and operation of respiratory care equipment; assesses patients and recommends therapeutic and diagnostic modalities per department protocols; assists with arterial line maintenance; participates in infection control, inservices, and quality improvement activities. Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Cardiac Life Support, PALS, and STABLE within 30 days of start. Education required: Associate Degree. Location: Del Sol Medical Center, El Paso, TX area.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- STABLE must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Associate Degree
