Job Summary
Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician under the direction of the medical director and cardiopulmonary manager. Lead the section or department during your shift when no supervisor is present. Conduct assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care tailored to age and population-specific patient needs. Maintain current certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program. Work nights in a high-acuity, critical care environment within the Chicago Metro Area.
Required Qualifications
- Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Current Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
- Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the AHA or ARC
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the AHA
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of acute care experience
- Night shift availability
- Full-time employment availability
