Job Summary
Provide cardiopulmonary care and life support to patients under the Cardiopulmonary Director, including administering respiratory therapies and nebulized medications, setting up and monitoring mechanical ventilators, obtaining arterial blood samples for blood gas analysis, and assessing patients across pediatric to geriatric populations. Maintain knowledge of oxygen delivery methods, document data in medical records, educate patients and families about cardiopulmonary health, adhere to safety protocols, and participate in continuing education to maintain licensure. The role requires travel within the DRH system and compliance with hospital policies, vaccinations, and fit-testing for respirators.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an American Medical Association approved school of Respiratory Therapy
- Current Oklahoma and national Respiratory Therapist licensure
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to travel to various locations within the DRH system
- Successfully passed the Therapist Multiple Choice (TMC) Examination at the CRT level
