Job Summary
Assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders by initiating and conducting therapeutic procedures. Operate ventilators, pulmonary diagnostics, physiologic monitors, and intra-aortic balloon pumps while maintaining accurate documentation. Demonstrate analytical reasoning to blend patient care management with technical expertise, including quality control of arterial blood gas analyzers and specimen analysis. Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and maintain compliance with Orlando Health policies. This role begins at Shelby Hospital and offers up to 5 weeks of PTO, paid parental leave, and tuition reimbursement up to $5,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree from an approved Respiratory Care program
- Certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification
- Advanced Life Support as appropriate per unit and site
Desired Qualifications
- Maintains active membership in the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC)
