Job Summary
Administer general and regional anesthesia for surgical, obstetrical, and other procedures across neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations under anesthesiologist supervision. Evaluate patients pre-operatively, select appropriate anesthetics, and monitor intraoperative and postoperative conditions while managing airway, fluid balance, and ventilator support. Check anesthesia equipment daily, prepare drugs, and maintain accurate controlled substance accounting. Precept student nurse anesthetists and uphold Kaiser Permanentes policies and TJC standards. Variable shifts and hours apply.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an educational program in Nurse Anesthesia accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs and Schools
- Registered Nurse License (California)
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (California)
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist National Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Basic Life Support
- Experience in anesthesia for major procedures involving extensive monitoring and fluid, blood, and electrolyte replacement for various age group patients
- CRNA licensure/certification as defined by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs
- Technical/clinical and professional skill and ability along with all related techniques and procedures within the scope of practice as defined by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs
