Job Summary
CRNA provides anesthesia care across a variety of settings for surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management procedures. Responsibilities include pre-operative patient assessment, planning and communicating care, establishing venous access and airway, inducing and maintaining anesthesia, monitoring, emergence, postoperative follow-up, and serving as a clinical instructor for anesthesia students. Skills emphasized include neuraxial anesthesia (epidural/spinal), regional anesthesia and nerve blocks, PICC/midline insertion, ultrasound guidance, obstetric anesthesia, and potential interventional pain management. Requires collaboration within a multidisciplinary team, adherence to safety standards, and commitment to patient care; rotating shifts with on-call responsibilities are included.
