Job Summary
Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia evaluations, develop individualized anesthesia care plans, and administer monitored, regional, and general anesthesia. Manage patient airways, physiologic status, fluid therapy, and invasive monitoring throughout surgical procedures while responding to patient reactions. Document anesthesia care accurately and conduct post-anesthesia evaluations to monitor recovery. Deliver safe anesthesia care across a broad range of surgical specialties and patient populations at Womack Army Medical Center. Work onsite with military and civilian healthcare professionals in a continuously staffed Operating Room and Emergency Department.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing from a Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA) accredited program
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Current certification through the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience administering general and regional anesthesia, including major vascular, neurosurgical, thoracic, and complex surgical procedures
- Current unrestricted RN/APRN license in the state where services are performed
- National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- U.S. Citizenship
- Professional scrubs required while on duty
- Participation in required DHA, HIPAA, Genesis, SAPR, CTIP, and facility-specific training
