Job Summary
Administer general and regional anesthesia for surgical, obstetrical, and other procedures across neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations under medical supervision. Evaluate patients pre-operatively, review charts, select appropriate anesthetics, and monitor intraoperative conditions while managing airway, fluid balance, and ventilator support. Administer anesthesia per clinical privileges, evaluate postoperative status within 24 hours, and maintain accurate controlled substance accounting. Precept student nurse anesthetists, check equipment daily, and uphold Kaiser Permanente policies and TJC standards. Work rotating weekends and holidays at Anaheim and Irvine locations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an educational program in Nurse Anesthesia accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs and Schools
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (California)
- Registered Nurse License (California)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Basic Life Support
- National Provider Identifier
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist National Certification
- Experience in anesthesia for major procedures involving extensive monitoring and fluid, blood, and electrolyte replacement for various age group patients
- CRNAs must demonstrate both technical/clinical and professional skill and ability along with all related techniques and procedures within the scope of practice as defined by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs
