Job Summary
Administer anesthesia under the supervision of the Attending Anesthesiologist, including local, inhalation, intravenous, and other anesthetics prescribed during surgery, deliveries, or medical procedures. Perform complete pre-anesthetic assessments by reviewing laboratory data, patient history, and physical exams while establishing rapport and anticipating potential problems. Prepare for case management by assembling essential equipment, maintaining universal safety precautions, and labeling syringes. Manage anesthetic plans systematically based on assessments and anticipated procedures, ensuring appropriate airway management and clear communication with the Attending. Provide competent post-anesthetic management by verifying patient identity, maintaining the airway, evaluating pain status, completing records, and properly disposing of medications and equipment.
Required Qualifications
- CRNA-Certified RN Anesthetist license
- Masters Degree -CRNA program
- Current NYS RN License
- CRNA Certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- NYS Infection Control Certificate
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
