Job Summary
CRNA role at Avera Milbank Area Hospital involves providing anesthesia across procedures including surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management. Responsibilities include pre-operative assessments, planning and communicating care, establishing venous access, airway management, inducing and maintaining anesthesia, monitoring and emergence, transferring care post-procedure, and post-operative follow-up. The role also includes acting as a clinical instructor for anesthesia students and adhering to safety standards and regulatory requirements. This is a day-shift hospital position in Marvin, SD, with sign-on bonus options and a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration and CARE values.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - Board of Nursing
- An active RN license in the state of practice
- NBCRNA certification and recertification
- Active CRNA license and RN license on hire
- Ability to perform pre-operative assessments and anesthesia induction and emergence
- Ability to communicate plan of care to patient and family
- Airway management and venous access expertise
- Ability to monitor anesthesia and ensure patient safety across procedures
- Clinical instructor responsibilities for anesthesia students
- Compliance with CMS, The Joint Commission, DHHS, OSHA as applicable
- Commitment to CARE values and confidentiality
- Ability to work in a team environment and coordinate workflow
