Job Summary
Perform pre-operative patient assessments, determine care plans, and communicate them to patients and families. Establish and maintain venous access and airways while inducting, maintaining anesthesia, and monitoring patients throughout procedures. Complete anesthesia and emergence, then transfer care to appropriate staff at termination. Perform post-operative follow-up for each case and serve as a clinical instructor for anesthesia students. Work rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays in an 80-hour, two-week cycle.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Active license in the state of practice
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
- Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
- Ability to work the hours specified
