Job Summary
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) administers anesthesia for surgical and obstetrical procedures, performs anesthesia-related procedures under supervision of an anesthesiologist, and evaluates patients to formulate anesthesia care plans. The role includes supervising student nurse anesthetists, ensuring patient safety, and transporting patients to and from anesthesia locations. A signing bonus of $50,000 and relocation assistance are available for eligible candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited/approved CRNA program
- Licensure as TN Registered Nurse
- CRNA certification
- Candidates able to obtain license/certification within 90 days may be considered
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in administering general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care
- Ability to evaluate patients preoperatively and develop anesthesia care plans
- Skills in supervising and instructing student nurse anesthetists
Additional Requirements
- Candidates must not have worked for VUMC within the last 12 months to qualify for signing bonus
- The sign-on bonus is only for full-time positions
- Relocation bonus not applicable to current/former VUMC staff within the past 12 months
