Job Summary
Use your lived experience to support, mentor, and empower adults with serious mental illness toward independence and stability. Provide person-centered, strengths-based community support in real-world settings, homes, neighborhoods, and beyond. Assist clients in building skills for independent living, accessing housing and benefits resources, and managing symptoms. Deliver crisis support, safety planning, and de-escalation interventions with compassion while maintaining accurate documentation and achieving productivity goals. This role directly impacts outcomes by increasing engagement, reducing hospitalizations, and helping clients transition from crisis to stability with dignity. Join the Community Support Team to build community connection and self-reliance among individuals who often feel isolated.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Recovery Support Specialist (Peer Support) certification
- Experience in mental health recovery
- Ability to support, mentor, and empower adults with serious mental illness
- Capacity to provide person-centered, strengths-based community support in real-world settings, homes, neighborhoods, and beyond
- Skill in supporting clients in building skills for independent living, accessing resources, managing symptoms, and regaining hope
- Ability to assist in crisis support, safety planning, and de-escalation interventions with compassion and empathy
- Capacity to champion client choice, self-advocacy, and recovery
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation
- Ability to achieve productivity goals

Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience with CST, case management, or crisis intervention
- Comfort navigating technology (email, Microsoft Word, electronic health records)
- Familiarity with Medicaid billing and productivity standards
