Job Summary
Provide support to MCORT's crisis response team and respond to referrals within 72 hours. Establish rapport with individuals at risk for opioid use disorder, offering peer support, education, and information on treatment options and harm reduction strategies. Work to motivate individuals to seek treatment, assist in removing barriers, and provide warm handoffs to medication-assisted treatment, detoxification, and recovery housing. Serve as a liaison between partners, first responders, and recovery services, conducting follow-up contacts to support retention and relapse prevention. Maintain case notes, participate in case reviews, and assist those completing treatment in navigating outpatient options and supportive services. Work evenings and weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Current Certified Recovery Specialist credential through the Pennsylvania Certification Board, must maintain current and active certification throughout employment
- Trained as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP)
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- Use of reliable transportation
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed
Desired Qualifications
- preference given to individuals with a Bachelor's degree
- Lived experience with opioid use disorder
- Experience working with individuals in crisis
