Job Summary
Assist patients in articulating personal recovery goals, identifying barriers and strengths, and building social skills through role modeling and problem-solving instruction. Support vocational choices, combat negative self-talk, and utilize unique recovery experience to teach coping techniques while attending team meetings and medication appointments. Investigate community resources, maintain confidentiality, and fulfill documentation requirements accurately. Maintain professional boundaries, use inclusive language, and attend relevant training seminars. Travel up to 50% may be required; valid driver's license and insurability are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (General Equivalency Diploma)
- Maintains Certified Recovery Specialty credential via the PA Certification Board
- Self-identify as a current or former patient
- Maintain healthy recovery from substance abuse
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to meet written communication requirements
- Verify completion of state-approved training program and passing score on certification exam
- Current valid driver's license in good standing in state of employment and be insurable by the designated carrier
- Travel up to 50% may be required for this role
