Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS)

Conduct peer-to-peer recovery support for drug and alcohol clients by assisting them in overcoming barriers to access community resources. Complete strengths-based consumer assessments, establish personal recovery goals, and develop objectives to reach those goals. Provide recovery education to consumers, family members, and staff while modeling the value of unique recovery experiences. Deliver timely and accurate documentation including Capitol Needs Assessments, goal planning, intervention development, progress notes, contact logs, and encounter forms. Act as a community liaison to develop relationships with service agencies and facilitate linkage to treatment services and natural resources. Attend weekly Peer Support Program Meetings and supervision with the Peer Support Supervisor. Maintain self-advocacy within consumers and seek supervision and training consistently for professional growth.
