Job Summary
Work with the Residential Program Manager and staff to sustain an active recovery community by offering support, advocacy, and skill development opportunities using shared lived experience. Participate face-to-face with clients in the Residences and the broader community while documenting services provided. Model behavior consistent with the mission of Addictions Care Center of Albany and handle multiple projects simultaneously. This full-time role includes a flexible schedule with some evenings and weekends, requires travel, and demands certification as a Recovery Peer Advocate-CRPA.
Required Qualifications
- Must work a flexible schedule (including some evenings and weekends)
- Some travel required
- Peers must be certified
- At least one (1) year work experience in an OASAS licensed facility
- Certification as a Recovery Peer Advocate-CRPA (substance use)
- High School graduate or GED
- Current valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Successful recovery from addictions for at least three years preferred
