Job Summary
Certified Recovery Coach: App Moderator engage and moderate app chats and groups to support recovery journeys. Responsibilities include initiating conversations related to recovery, leveraging personal lived experience to support others, identifying referring agencies, overseeing group chats and forums to enforce Code of Conduct, monitoring and acting on NLP alerts, conducting follow-up on violations, and documenting member engagements per prevailing standards. Requires experience in peer support/recovery coaching, ability to work remotely in a US-based environment, strong communication skills, and comfort delivering support digitally (evening/weekend availability). Nice-to-haves include fluency in Spanish and experience delivering digital peer support.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of relevant training courses (certification ready) as a Peer Specialist or Recovery Coach in substance use disorder or mental health recovery
- Reliable access to internet in a private space
- Comfort operating a smartphone, computer, and software tools such as Microsoft Office, Teams
- Ability to document member engagements in an electronic record
- Willingness to speak to your personal lived experience with mental health and/or substance use conditions
- Ability to work independently, with a clear understanding of when to reach out with questions or clarifications
- Demonstrated ability to create wellness plans and/or recovery goals
- Willingness to work evening and weekend hours
