Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (Part-time Los Angeles)

Provides care to pediatric patients by fitting, testing, and adjusting orthopedic braces and prosthetic devices under physician direction; conducts patient interviews and measurements to determine appliance needs, performs plaster casts for device construction, selects materials, fabricates or supervises fabrication of appliances, and instructs patients in the use and care of orthoses/prostheses; maintains patient records and collaborates with physicians to formulate device specifications and prescriptions; requires Bachelor's degree, Master of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics (MSPO), completion of an NCOPE residency, and at least two years of related experience; position is part-time in Los Angeles, CA.
