Certified Phlebotomy Technician per diem night shift performs phlebotomy and specimen processing, assists CLS/MLT in laboratory duties, trains new staff, explains collection procedures to patients, maintains equipment and inventory, communicates using AIDET and SBAR, collaborates for patient care, adheres to HIPAA, and supports department operations with a sense of urgency while upholding professional standards and equity in patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician certification
- Minimum six (6) months phlebotomy experience in an accredited hospital clinical laboratory
- Experience with laboratory instrumentation preferred
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Strong organizational skills
- PC (computer) skills
- Ability to learn, synthesize, and place patients first
