Job Summary
Maintain and track medication inventory by sorting, placing, and storing freight while ensuring stock rotation on a first-in, first-out basis. Support the pharmacist in the prescription fulfillment process by scanning products, verifying quantities, labeling prescriptions, and weighing or pouring medication for accuracy. Process claims, handle returns, and maintain a safe, clean work environment in compliance with local state and federal laws. Troubleshoot automated counting machines and pill cell performance to ensure continuous workflow in the automated central fill pharmacy. Complete work assignments by collaborating with managers and coworkers to address improvement opportunities and adapt to changing priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Meets state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician, such as minimum age, qualification, registration, certification, and/or licensure when required by the State Board of Pharmacy.
- Holds an active/valid national certification certificate issued by PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT).
- Sunday availability is required.
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM (availability required between 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM).
- 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM (availability required between 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM).
- Moves, lifts, carries, and places merchandise and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
