Job Summary

Pharmacy Technician Specialist role focusing on medication reconciliation within an FSED, full-time evening shift at Westerville FSED. Provides technical, communication, and leadership support to the area of specialty, participates in competency programs, quality assurance, and training of associates, with emphasis on medication histories, reconciliation processes, and collaboration within an interdisciplinary health-system team. Responsibilities cover development and administration of competency programs, annual re-certification in sterile compounding as appropriate, documentation and coaching of staff, and adherence to system SOPs and USP guidelines. The role supports pharmacists and health-system peers to optimize medication use and patient safety, reflects OhioHealth core values, and requires flexible, data-driven problem solving and effective communication.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or foreign school diploma equivalent to a U.S. high school diploma (Required)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age (Required)
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (Required)
  • Knowledge of compounding, pharmacy math skills, hospital pharmacy operations, medical terminology, and various drug names (trade generic)
  • Detail-oriented
  • Works well in an interdisciplinary team
