Job Summary
Provides technical pharmacy services under supervision of a licensed pharmacist in outpatient settings, including preparing unit dose medications and IV admixtures, labeling/packaging medications, calculating and posting charges, maintaining records, delivering medications to units, and supporting inventory and pharmacy operations. Requires national certification (PTCB or NHA) and TN Pharmacy Tech license, completion of an accredited technician program, and at least 1 year of experience; expects flexibility to work PRN with possible night/weekend shifts, and adherence to HIPAA, iRESPECT standards, and safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- National Certification such as PTCB or NHA
- TN Pharmacy Tech License to qualify
- Successful completion of Pharmacy Technician program or equivalent education
- Current documentation as Certified Pharmacy Technician
- License to work in state of TN as Pharmacy Technician
- At least 1 year experience as Pharmacy Technician
