Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician - Certified at Hy-Vee. Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service while assisting pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of prescription medications. Maintains patient information and processes prescriptions, insurance claims, and label preparation. Accepts new prescriptions and refill requests, assists with vaccinations as allowed by law, and supports pharmacy operations to ensure accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance. Must hold a nationally certified pharmacy technician license and meet continuing education requirements; fast-paced retail environment with emphasis on customer care and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified as a licensed pharmacy technician through a national certification program
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy clerk is preferred
