Job Summary
Provides prompt, efficient customer service and assists pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of prescription medications. Licensed through a national certification program as a pharmacy technician. Responsibilities include accepting prescriptions, processing refills, submitting insurance claims, labeling and preparing prescriptions, maintaining patient information per HIPAA, and vaccinating as allowed by law. Maintains pharmacy and dispensing area cleanliness and adheres to all statutes, regulations, and company policies. Strong customer service, teamwork, and attention to detail are required.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed through a national certification program as a pharmacy technician
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy clerk is preferred
