Job Summary
Assist the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of medications in the inpatient pharmacy. Provides customer service by handling phone requests and triaging inquiries; contribute to inventory control; operate pharmacy computer systems; work under direct supervision of a pharmacist. Shift is 2:00pm–10:30pm, Monday–Friday with every 3rd weekend rotation and holiday rotation; must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician through PTCB or NHA. Position highlights include supporting medication preparation and distribution, adherence to federal/state/local regulations, and collaboration with pharmacists and pharmacy managers.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician - PTCB or NHA
- Graduate of an approved discipline specific program
- Pharmacy technician certification
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical computer systems
- Familiarity with inventory control and regulatory requirements
