Job Summary
Entry-level Certified Inpatient Pharmacy Technician I in a hospital setting. Supports pharmacists with safe, accurate medication preparation, distribution, non-sterile compounding, labeling, and delivery, while maintaining inventory and operating pharmacy automation systems (Omnicell). Requires HS/GED, Ohio-registered CPhT, and eligibility to start with state certification; preferred 1-2 years of pharmacy experience and familiarity with pharmacy automation and computer systems. The role involves performance audits, adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and collaboration with clinicians to ensure timely medication availability for hospitalized patients. Schedule includes full-time hours (80 hours biweekly) with varying shifts and weekends/holidays; sign-on bonus up to $5,000 with 12-month commitment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) is required upon start (PCTB or ExCPT)
- Must be registered with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician
- Up to 1 year Pharmacy experience is required
- 1 - 2 years Pharmacy; previous experience with computer applications and pharmacy automation is preferred
