Job Summary
Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by greeting patrons, answering phones, and handling inquiries that do not require pharmacist expertise. Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing prescription medications, including accepting orders, gathering patient information, affixing labels, and submitting insurance claims. Manage pharmacy operations by stocking supplies, filing prescriptions, performing cash transactions, and reporting medication errors. Administer vaccines as allowed by law and maintain strict adherence to safety guidelines regarding hazardous drugs and HIPAA confidentiality. Work in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining cleanliness and supporting the team to ensure a pleasant shopping experience.
Required Qualifications
- Professional License/Certification
- Licensed, through a national certification program, as a pharmacy technician
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified as a licensed technician through a certified national program
- Maintains continuing education requirements to keep license active
- Must be able to physically exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- Must be able to physically exert 10 pounds of force frequently
- Must be able to perform climbing
- Must be able to perform balancing
- Must be able to perform stooping
- Must be able to perform kneeling
- Must be able to perform reaching

- Must be able to evaluate technical data
- Vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction
- Depth perception

- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre employment drug screen
