Job Summary
Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by greeting clients, answering phones, and handling inquiries that do not require pharmacist expertise. Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing prescription medications, including accepting orders, gathering patient information, affixing labels, and submitting insurance claims. Manage pharmacy operations by stocking supplies, filing dispensed prescriptions, reporting medication errors, and performing cash transactions. Maintain strict adherence to company guidelines, HIPAA confidentiality, and safety protocols regarding hazardous drugs. Work in a fast-paced retail environment requiring the ability to handle multiple tasks daily, including administering vaccines as allowed by law.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed, through a national certification program, as a pharmacy technician
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to physically exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 pounds of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
- Vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction
- Depth perception
- Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors)

- Must acknowledge that exposure to hazardous drugs may cause acute and chronic effects
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre employment drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy clerk is preferred
- If applicable, vaccination certification as required by law
