Job Summary
Certified Pharmacy Technician role at OhioHealth Doctors Hospital. Full-time, variable shift with days/evenings; weekend rotation every 4th weekend, plus holiday coverage. Responsibilities include interpreting, obtaining, preparing/compounding, labeling, and distributing pharmacy products for patient use; may prepare IV medications; handle process for non-monitored medications; document distribution for reimbursement; participate in ordering, receiving, stocking, dispensing, and process improvement; contribute to training of new associates and performance metrics. Requires CPhT (Ohio Board of Pharmacy), high school diploma or GED, 18+ years old, and relevant pharmacy knowledge (compounding, pharmacy math, terminology). The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency within a high reliability organization framework.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (Required)
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) registered with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (Required)
- Minimum age 18 (Required)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to gather and interpret data and explain instructions/procedures
- Knowledge of compounding, pharmacy math, hospital pharmacy operations, medical terminology, and drug names (trade/generic)
- Detail-oriented
- Team-oriented in an interdisciplinary setting
- Adaptable
