Job Summary
Assist registered pharmacists in accurately and safely dispensing and distributing medications under supervision. Perform sterile compounding, inventory control and ordering, restocking of automated cabinets, and repackaging of medications. Collect medication histories and complete other delegated duties. Maintain BOP registration application within 10 days of hire and obtain national certification such as PTCB within 90 days. Requires NJ Board of Pharmacy registration, high school diploma, and two years of preferred experience.
Required Qualifications
- Registration as a pharmacy technician with the NJ Board of Pharmacy
- Certification from a nationally recognized organization such as PTCB
- BOP registration application within 10 days of hire
- Certification within 90 days of hire
