Job Summary
Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. They work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, present completed medications to the pharmacist for verification, interact with patients to ensure quality service, and perform other related duties. Required: High school diploma or equivalent, 18+ years old, certification as a Pharmacy Technician, and registration with the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy (or obtained within 90 days of hire). Strong verbal communication, ability to work independently and in teams, capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment, direct patient interactions, and solid problem-solving and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Certified Pharmacy Technician through a nationally accredited Pharmacy organization
- Registered with the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician or application in process upon hire and obtained within 90 days of hire
- Applicant must be at least 18 years of age
- Good verbal and communication skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Direct customer and patient interactions
- Exhibit problem-solving and organizational skill
