Certified Peer Support Specialist (77436)

Conduct peer recovery support for individuals by assisting them in accessing resources, preventing relapse, and maintaining engagement in recovery services. Perform consumer screenings to determine referral needs, then link to appropriate services and coordinate transportation when necessary. Assist consumers in identifying early warning signs and develop coping, self-help, and communication skills through paraprofessional support. Provide ongoing follow-up with referred consumers to promote recovery and resiliency while promoting peer recovery services to the community to reduce stigma. Work in a public, customer-facing, high-traffic environment, utilizing electronic clinical systems and Microsoft Office applications for reporting and correspondence. Maintain current knowledge of standards of care through continuing education and function effectively under supervisor direction.
