Job Summary

Support individuals in articulating personal recovery and wellness goals, linking them with workforce resources through collaboration and problem-solving. Document progress notes by assisting peers in identifying strengths, setting objectives, and recognizing barriers, ensuring completion within 24 hours of service delivery. Utilize CPS-specific and PEARLS training techniques to build rapport, while leveraging lived experience to model recovery values and support peers in obtaining independent housing. Provide weekly peer services with a minimum of two monthly visits, including at least two Community Transition Planning sessions monthly for youth in specific placements. Maintain current trends in mental health, share recovery-oriented materials, and attend continuing education to uphold certification.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
  • Lived experience with a behavioral health diagnosis or substance use
  • Valid Georgia Driver's License
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse communities
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Office Products
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines accordingly

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience in behavioral health, substance use or working with individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities
  • Hold one of the following certifications: CPS-Y, CPS-MH, CPS-AD or CARES
