Job Summary
Provide peer support to individuals with behavioral health conditions, substance use disorders, and/or developmental disabilities. Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with Members to identify interests, strengths, goals, and aspirations; develop individualized treatment plan goals; collaborate on Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP); offer encouragement and empowerment; facilitate and co-facilitate skills groups; participate in treatment team meetings and provide feedback; support attendance at 12 Step Meetings and affect DBT skill usage. Serve as an advocate for Members, promote self-advocacy, and support community integration by connecting resources, mutual-help groups, social clubs, and job opportunities. Maintain timely documentation in the electronic health record, participate in trainings and workgroups, and provide vocational education and coaching, resume development, and mock interviews. Emphasize trauma-informed, trauma-empowered care and model recovery, dignity, and respect while upholding the organization’s mission and values.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- CPS/CRS training qualifications
- Possess CPS or RPS training in its entirety
- Maintain CPS/CRS certification throughout employment
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
