Job Summary
Provide recovery education and support to Cedar Recovery's patients at all phases of treatment, including facilitating recovery planning and coordinating community resources for housing, food, work, and education. Coordinate care with providers via the PIC Center, act as a community liaison to develop referral relationships, and link individuals to appropriate community-based groups. Maintain ongoing contact with patients by phone or email to ensure their success and engagement, while leading individual or group peer recovery sessions as directed by the supervisor. This full-time role requires a Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist with at least two years of demonstrated recovery from a substance use or mental health disorder. Compensation is $20-23 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Certified as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist by the TN Department of Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services
- A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated recovery from a substance use and/or mental health disorder
- Ability to pass a drug screen
- Excellent verbal and relationship building skills
