Job Summary
Articulate recovery goals and identify barriers while assisting clients in determining holistic steps for recovery. Teach problem-solving skills, combat negative self-talk, and build social supports to foster self-advocacy. Facilitate evidence-based protocols, complete screens and risk assessments, and coordinate referrals to inpatient or residential treatment. Intervene in crises and transport clients to appointments as directed by the clinical team. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to partner with community programs. Requires PRS certification, lived experience with mental health or substance use, and a valid driver's license. Full-time role with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to meet communication requirements of certification
- Basic computer literacy
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Have lived experience receiving mental health, substance use or gambling treatment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of recovery
- Experience within the criminal justice system preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance
- PRS Certification is required
- Must be able to verify completion of state-approved training program and passing score on certification exam
- Lived Experience with Mental Illness/ Substance Use or Gambling Disorder
- Willing to share personal recovery story to assist others
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
