Job Summary
Engage members served in meaningful conversations to explore and meet their own recovery goals while promoting Telecare's Recovery Culture. Respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills to support a least restrictive environment for members experiencing mental health or addiction emergencies. Maintain Peer Certification and Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification through CalMHSA within 120 days of hire. Full-time days shifts vary from Friday to Tuesday. Starting wage is $23.00–$23.24 with geographic differentials. Requires high school diploma, one year of behavioral health experience, and experience as a public system beneficiary. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Peer Certification
- California: Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification through CalMHSA
- One (1) year or part-time equivalent of experience supporting members served with behavioral health challenges
- Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care
- Successful completion of Peer Support Training or Peer Employment Training
