Job Summary
The Certified Peer Recovery Coach will provide direct services such as outreach, engagement, and linkage to community supports. Responsibilities include advocating for client decision-making, assisting consumers in establishing recovery goals, and creating relapse prevention strategies. Applicants must be Certified Youth Peer Support Specialists with lived experience of mental health challenges, possess a primary diagnosis of a mental health condition, and have navigated mental health treatment services.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Youth Peer Support Specialist
- Direct lived experience with mental health challenges as a youth
- Complete a minimum of 32 continuing education hours of approved training, workshops, and/or conferences during the two-year period prior to renewal of certification
- Ages 18 through 28
- Primary diagnosis of a mental health condition
- Have personal experience in navigating complex mental health treatment services
- Has been a recipient of mental health treatment and/or services for at least one year with a substantial life disruption due to their mental health condition
