Job Summary
The Patient Care Technician assists patients with activities of daily living and select procedures delegated by the licensed nurse, focusing on maintaining a safe, hazard-free environment to enable patient-focused care. Responsibilities include contributing to a clean, safe hospital environment; applying training from a state-approved PCT program and national certifications (CPCT or equivalent) and maintaining current BLS certification. Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, and at least 6 months of PCT and/or phlebotomy experience in an acute care setting. Required Qualifications
- Current graduate of state approved PCT program (CPCT).
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- Upon hire: National Certified Patient Care Technician - National Association for Health Professionals, or
- Upon hire: National Certified Patient Care Technician - National Center for Competency Testing, or
- Upon hire: National Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant - National Healthcareer Association
