Job Summary
Execute accurate, timely, and compliant bi-weekly and weekly payrolls for multi-state hourly and salaried employees in a complex, high-volume environment. Own end-to-end pay cycle activities in Dayforce, including time & attendance, earnings/deductions, garnishments, taxes, and off-cycle runs. Import and validate time data, resolve exceptions and missed punches, and calculate earnings, bonuses, and retro pay per federal/state wage and hour rules. Maintain employee payroll records, set up state/local tax jurisdictions, and monitor compliance with FLSA, union rules, and site-specific regulations. Support quarter-end and year-end close activities, perform pre- and post-payroll controls, and collaborate with HRIS leadership on configuration tests and continuous improvements. Track cycle KPIs and drive root-cause actions to improve accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Certified payroll knowledge including knowledge of Davis-Bacon Certified Payroll reporting and filing the reports using LCP tracker and WH-347 forms
- 4+ years of end-to-end, multi-state, union/non-union payroll processing
- 2+ years' experience establishing and maintaining tax jurisdictions
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience using Dayforce
- Knowledge of payroll tax, wage and hour (FLSA), overtime rules, and final pay requirements; ability to research state/local nuances
- Strong Excel skills (vlookups/index-match, pivot tables, text/date functions) to audit and reconcile large datasets
