Job Summary
Certified Patient Care Assistant (CNA/LNA) on the Ortho Med Surg unit at Banner Baywood Medical Center. Provides routine patient care, assists with activities of daily living, collects vital signs and data, supports nursing staff, documents in the electronic medical record, and performs unit-support duties. Night shift (6:00pm–6:30am) with rotating weekends/holidays, and differential pay for nights and weekends. Unit focuses on musculoskeletal/orthopedic post-operative and related care, with opportunities for skill development and ongoing nursing education.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- Current BLS certification
- Current CNA/LNA in state of practice required for new hires (Arizona)
- 1 year of medical clerical experience preferred
- Excellent organizational, human relations and communication skills
- Working knowledge of medical terminology, computer literacy, and keyboarding
- ECG interpretation course or EEG interpretation course or on-the-job training
- Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card requirements for specific banners units (where applicable)
- Licensed Nursing Assistant licensure preferred in Arizona
- Recent healthcare experience preferred
- Unit secretary program completion preferred
