Job Summary
The role is a full-time Certified Patient Care Assistant (CNA/LNA) on the Medical Surgical unit at Banner Ironwood Medical Center in Queen Creek, AZ, with a 6:00 am–6:30 pm day shift, three 12-hour shifts per week, rotating weekends/holidays, and additional shift differentials. Responsibilities include providing routine patient care, assisting with activities of daily living, collecting vital signs and other data, transcribing and processing orders in the EMR, supporting unit operations, coordinating with licensed professionals, and maintaining patient records and supplies. Requires high school diploma or GED, current BLS, CN A/LNA certification, and typically 1 year of medical/clerical experience; preferred qualifications include LNA licensure in AZ, prior healthcare experience, and completion of a unit secretary program. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge
- Current BLS certification is required
- Current CNA/LNA certification in state of practice is required for new hires
- 1 year of medical clerical experience (preferable in hospital/physician office) or equivalent
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Medical terminology knowledge
- Computer literacy and keyboarding skills
- ECG interpretation course or EEG interpretation course or on-the-job training (minimum passing ECG/EEG test)
- Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (where applicable) and background checks for specific locations
