Job Summary
Assess patient needs for prefabricated orthoses by evaluating physical assessment, circulation, skin integrity, posture, and orthotic requirements. Formulate treatment plans to alleviate limitations and enhance function, then implement plans through adjustments, structural evaluations, and patient education. Utilize follow-up treatment plans to document functional changes, formulate modifications, and confirm patient instruction. Assist in scheduling follow-up visits, stocking inventory, and supporting orthotic fabrication under supervision. Ensure compliance with practice management plans, including adherence to laws, patient care guidelines, and timely billing documentation. Submit required documents within established timeframes and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
Required Qualifications
- Job-related course work beyond high school: health and/or sports medicine related
- Certified Orthotic Fitter (ABCOP certified or BOC certified)
- A valid driver's license
- An acceptable motor vehicle record, as defined by the Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Chart
- Proof of auto insurance
